tesla cyber truck as unique as the truck

It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years since Elon Musk first pulled the covers off the Tesla Cybertruck concept, and now the car is finally here we can take a look at how many of the brand’s promises for this electric truck have been fulfilled.

The Tesla Cybertruck is a battery electric full-size pickup truck built by Tesla, Inc. since 2023. Introduced as a concept vehicle in November 2019, it features a triangular body design with flat sheet metal panels made of stainless steel.

Tesla was initially aiming to bring the vehicle into production in 2021. After a series of delays, production Cybertrucks were first delivered to customers in late November 2023. As of December 2023, the Cybertruck is available only in North America. Three models are offered: the tri-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) "Cyberbeast", a dual-motor AWD model, and a rear-wheel drive (RWD) model, with EPA range estimates of 250–340 miles (400–550 km), varying by model.

Tesla Cybertruck is expected to launch on May 2025 as an electric pick up car. Cybertruck price is estimated at Rs. 50.70 Lakh in India.

Range, battery, and charging

Dual motor all-wheel drive is specified with an estimated range of 340 mi (550 km), while Cyberbeast models have a range of 320 mi (510 km).[75] On November 30, 2023, the RWD model with a range of 250 mi (400 km) was announced for delivery in 2025.

Network

The Cybertruck uses a central, bi-directional gigabit Etherloop network with CAN bus satellite networks to operate vehicle systems. The result is that data travels over the same network, as opposed to traditional CAN bus systems which require individual connections, reducing the amount of wiring in the vehicle. Audio travels over the same network, eliminating the need for audio-specific wiring. For comparison, while the number of endpoints increased 50% over the Model 3, the amount of cross-vehicle wiring was reduced by two-thirds.

Availability :-

Production-specification Cybertrucks were sent to Tesla showrooms starting in late November 2023.

During the delivery event at Gigafactory Texas on November 30, 2023, Tesla delivered the first 10 or 12 production units to customers. The event featured a 30-minute presentation including a demonstration where the Cybertruck's armored glass successfully withstood a baseball thrown by von Holzhausen. During the delivery event the speed of the Cybertruck was highlighted as being able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.6 seconds which was demonstrated by a video of the Cybertruck winning a drag race with a Porsche 911 while also towing another Porsche 911, which Musk claimed was over a distance of 1⁄4 mi (0.40 km), but based on pavement markings and grandstand position at Sacramento Raceway Park, where the race was recorded, was more likely to be 1⁄8 mi (0.20 km).

New Tesla Cybertruck interior and infotainment

The new Tesla Cybertruck has a pretty plush interior for a pickup truck, and the infotainment system is one of the best on the market.

In true Tesla style, the Cybertruck’s cabin is almost completely free of buttons. The dashboard is dominated by a massive 18.5-inch touchscreen, and everything else is clean and minimalist. Even the air vents are hidden from view.

With everything being controlled through that screen, it’s a good job that it’s very responsive and easy to use. Some features could do with having physical buttons, opening the glovebox is a faff to do through that display for example, but the menus are logically laid out and it has that typical Tesla sense of humour with a whoopee cushion feature built in to prank your friends.

New Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp package

The Tesla Cybertruck is loaded with clever features which boost practicality. It has a huge front boot, and a massive load area, and now you can even get an optional tent for the bed. Ideal for a romantic night under the stars, or if you sold your apartment to buy this bonkers pickup truck.

It’ll cost an additional $2,975 (£2,200) on top of the purchase price, and this includes delivery to your nearest Tesla centre and installation. It sits in a neat package in the bed, under the tonneau cover, and inflates it using an air pump after unfolding it.

You also get an awning to sit under while you’re barbecuing on the beach, and you can power all your devices using the outlets in the bed. Once you feel it’s time to return to civilization, just fold it back up and off you go.
